It's already Mid-September. The summer has passed in a blink of an eye. The leaves are falling, the sun is still on but not as warm as it used to be just a few weeks ago, kids go back to school and the holiday time is officially over. What does that mean? Well, actually two things: first, winter is coming and second, the TV shows come back on air.
Let's not focus on the short days and real freeze that's about to appear quite soon but on the great news on continuing of the great stories that we've missed all summer. Obviously, I'm not going to write about all the shows coming back after the traditional break but only about my personal favorites.

So, to start with, New Girl is back on tomorrow (Sept 16th). The writers left us off with Jess and Nick breaking up and the whole gang going on a cruise. What's next for the newly broken up and what's up for Cece and Schmidt? Are those two going to work things up? Or is she going to get involved with Buster? I don't have any personal predictions as I enjoy the show surprising me, especially this one. Somehow, among the hilarious and ridiculous frame typical for a sit-com New Girl shows the reality, everyday situations and problems. The characters are just normal people struggling with their own ups and downs and the relationships aren't idealized but ordinary. Perhaps that's why Jess and Nick breaking up was truly sad and touching.
Next on the list we've got The Big Bang Theory - a show that's already earned a lot of attention and that's airing with season 8 on September 22nd. The last episode twisted the story quite a bit - Leonard and Penny got engaged, Raj and Emily got serious, Stuart got to like Mrs. Walowitz and along with all the changes Sheldon went away to take some time off. It seems like the new season will have to explain and develop these twists. I only hope that somewhere along the way the main idea of funny physics jokes is not going to be lost and as much as I want to see the characters keep on growing I miss the humorous aspect of the show as well.
Last but not least is Brooklyn Nine-Nine a hilarious show that's humor lightens up my day and helps relax after coming back home completely knackered. Here, the writers left us with Jake going undercover and Santiago's feelings for him getting really obvious. There's a question, what writers have in stock for us if it comes to these two but at the same time I'm looking forward to see more incredibly funny moments of Boyle, Diaz and Gina. All that's to be done at the moment is wait until September 28th for the season 2 premiere.
So, these are my favorites that I'm waiting to kick off within next couple of weeks. Perhaps you're waiting for the same ones? Or maybe others?
