Sometimes there are so many things on one's mind, so many thoughts, so many feelings and emotions that screem and figh to be let out. Rather rarely they are actually allowed to, though. Is it because people are so introvert or play it safe? Perhaps but how many times we want to speak our minds, there's just no right words to do so?
Every person needs to shere some personal stuff at times. It's natural human need, I believe.
It becomes increadibly frustrating when we simply don't know how to say it so that our listener wouldn't become too judgemental or prejudiced. One mischosen word and the confession is over, andwe're the idiots in somebody else's eyes. But most importantly, we're hurt. For once the will
of building the personal relations with someone took over and it turned out to be a huge fiasco.
What if it was done more gently but still vividly? Pictures and music, these are great sollutions.
So much information can be transfered through them. A careful eye not only will understand
the message but also interpret it correctly and see the actual depth of it. Such person will also see how important and difficult is it to explain some issues and what a massive step is it to try, especially in such way.
Now, there's just one more thing - what does the recepient do with the information? Here comes the problem of ecpectations. What do we expect from the other person and wht do they want from us? It is natural to wait for the same - openness, honesty - after all we placed enough trust in them to share, but what do they expect? Perhaps the trust and willingness to let some things out isn't mutual? Well, then the music- and art-based feelings sharing seems even more appropriate - you expose yourself less directly and can always say "that's not what I meant".
I personally enjoy this method but what do you think? Is this a fine way to share and become open, when there'ssuch need? What is your solution?
And to give you a glipmse of what I mean scroll down...
